This is great for me. Saves me a lot of wasted time. Have missed most of the season and don't miss it. Hoping others are doing the same so they lose their ass in revenue and the spoiled millionaires can pound sand.

I'm firmly in Patriots country. I could drive to the stadium in about 15 minutes, and my Facebook news feed has been loaded with Patriots stuff lately. And I don't give a damn about any of it. Yes, it rubs me the wrong way when overpaid, anything-but-oppressed sports figures disrespect the flag and/or anthem and all they symbolize. As a strong supporter of one's personal rights, I understand that they may do as they please. That said, I do as I please and choose to not watch anything related to the NFL.

Spoiled millionaires? You’re opposed to someone with very rare skills not be paid what the market will support? An average NFL career is 4 years. Lots of risks to their own health. I would rather see the players get all they can from the owners. I bet some people think you’re overpaid.

I am kind of glad this happened it cut through all the lies about not being disrespectful or even being about vets and the flag. We now know the truth of the protests and we can act accordingly.

Even IF they start respecting Our FLAG I doubt after their stance on this ad i'd ever watch another game. I stated in another recent post I tend to carry a grudge. Seems like my instincts are correct from the gitgo. Dumb asses. RIDE SAFE.

Maybe, just maybe the military should stop paying the NFL to salute veterans and run recruiting adds during games. Would the Pentagon pay Al Jezeera to run recruiting adds? As an added benefit, the savings could be used on new military hardware. One commercial not run during the championship game should buy a new Humvee.

Couldn't believe that when I read it today. I am done forever with the NFL.
No one but the east coast will be watching the game anyway.

Haven't watched a game this season (tuned into the first game of the season and immediately changed the channel when i saw the protest), don't plan on watching the SB or anything else related to the NFL. Have watched every SB since the beginning, won't be watching this one.
The disrespect some show my anthem, my flag and my country turns my stomach. Won't suggest they don't have the right but, just because you can doesn't mean you should.

I fully support the market paying what it will support... I'd just like to see the support level of the market drastically reduced until they stop protesting the very nation that gave them this wonderful opportunity and stop disrespecting our flag, our anthem and our nation.

I have only watched a couple of games this year. I will not be watching the superbowl. Screw the NFL. What I understand it was just a simple flyer with the phrase #please stand. The NFL rejected it because they said it is too political. What? Last year they ran at least two political ads during the SB. One for Budweiser that depicts the founder of the company being decriminated against when he came to america. Another was a lumber company depicting a mother and son crossing the boarder illegally. Those weren't political? They both were a stab at Trump directly.
Screw the NFL......

Evidently this is the ad that was too controversial to go into the NFL's Superbowl program (Printed ad, not even a TV commercial)

They are all about the Money. I've been following the coming super bowl because they're playing it here in Minnesota this year. They basically come in and demand just about everything for free to the host city. They control most of the events and take the lion's share of the money so sooner or later the drop in viewer ship has to hurt them.

Man, I know I can be kind of slow sometimes, I'm glad some of you guys are catching up. I love the game but here's where I dropped off. If it helps, just remember the nfl nor any of the players care anything about you. You won't miss it while you LIVE YOUR LIFE, not theirs.

If it helps, just remember the nfl nor any of the players care anything about you. You won't miss it while you LIVE YOUR LIFE, not theirs. Not that I watched much football anyway but since those numbnuts rams came out with that idiotic gesture I damn sure wouldn't watch a rams game again. Not knowing at the time but this was the "beginning of the end" for my pro football watching. I realized at this moment that these guys may have "running and catching" skills but are showing the world they are a bunch of dumba$$es when it comes to anything else, like common sense! Of course since then we have the kneeling bullsh!t that crapperdick started, I haven't tuned in since! I may keep up with (not watch) my beloved Texans and Cowboys but beyond that, screw these jerks!!

"The Super Bowl game program is designed for fans to commemorate and celebrate the game, players, teams and the Super Bowl,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told USA Today. “It’s never been a place for advertising that could be considered by some as a political statement. The NFL has long supported the military and veterans and will again salute our service members in the Super Bowl with memorable on-field moments that will be televised as part of the game.”
Ads for the program are not sold through the NFL but with a third-party publisher. The NFL has final say on approving what goes into the program.
“We looked to work with the organization and asked it to consider other options such as ‘Please Honor our Veterans,’” McCarthy added. “They chose not to and we asked it to consider using ‘Please Stand for Our Veterans.’ Production was delayed as we awaited an answer. As the program was going to production, the organization asked about including a hashtag” — as in #PleaseStand — “and was informed that approval would not be provided in time and was asked to approve the ad without the hashtag. The organization did not respond and the program ultimately went into production to meet deadlines.”
McCarthy noted that an ad from the Veterans of Foreign Wars was approved and it read "We Stand for Veterans."
A little more to the story.......

Thanks for your concern. But like anyone else in business I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. As long as there's no group discrimination provable (like the unfortunate wedding cake bakers were sued for) the right exists. I don't think aholes/troublemakers/insulters are a legitimate protected group. Besides, they can still get one. All they have to do is use a straw purchaser or otherwise use an alias. I won't knowingly provide my craftsmanship/artistry to one who insults me or otherwise shows in advance they are an ahole. I'm not hurting for work - my products are priced as they should be, reflect the inherent craftsmanship while the pricing controls the volume to a level I can support. BTW the prices are not much above the level they were 19 years ago when I was so swamped the backlog was 3 months and I had to provide a varied price option so folks could get their pipes sooner if they paid a "fast queue" fee. Still didn't raise all prices even with too-high demand. My pricing has not kept pace with inflation. If the product isn't worth it, it won't sell. Marketing 101.

If we are in other countries and there anthem is being played (and we know it) we will stand and be silent out of respect. I do not salute or put my hand over my heart. I do give some respect. Y E S , like many others on this board , I am a veteran. Y E S , I still believe in America. If this country is so bad , why do people come here . W H Y do you get involved in issues that can get you shot. If you are dumb enough to challenge the police that tell you to stop , you are not smart enough to benefit the society. Y E S I have been stopped. I did what I was told to do. Y E S I have been let go because I did what I was told to do. I stand and salute our Anthem. All I ask is for all to show respect. A T L E A S T stand and shut up.
