This is a good one. A professional mechanic speaks his mind about Phram filters. Fast forward to the 8 minute mark for the internal differences.

Didn't watch the video and won't but Fram filters are the west on the market IMHO. Put one on a car once and within 10 miles the oil light comes on and so I pull off the road and check oil =full so I take filter off put a new one on (Fram) and start car all is good for another ten miles then oil light on again.....change it with another brand purolator I believe and all was good for the next 3 k miles....won't put a Fram on anything I own.

I also will not use fram. A sponge out of your kitchen sink would work better.

Kinda was thinking you misspelled BEST here but then reading the rest of your post realized that's probably not what you meant.

Personally in my 50+ yrs of driving and maintaining my cars (and quite a few others as I was a auto mechanic for 20 yrs) I've used all types of filters, including Fram, and never had any issues with Fram.  Maybe I'm just lucky...

Believe it or not, the Fram Xtra Guard filter is actually pretty good. The standard one is not. If any of you have way too much time on your hands, or just want to be an oil/filter nerd (like me), check out https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/forum_summary
