Yeah, my subject line is totally bait, as it has nothing to do with Trump, but is very relevant to this posting.
Jordan B. Peterson hasn't been discussed on this site, so far as a search of his name can tell me. Anyone who pays attention to events outside of the US (and I know there are a few of you here) will be familiar with his name, or at least some of the public controversy surrounding him. He's definitely on the radar of American feminists. Peterson is a practising clinical psychologist and professor at the University of Toronto. He came to people's attention about a year or two ago when "he stated he would not use the preferred gender pronouns of students and faculty as part of compelled speech, and announced his objection to the Canadian government's Bill C-16, which proposed to add "gender identity or expression" as a prohibited ground of discrimination under the Canadian Human Rights Act." He is recently in the news after a January 16th (the date put on YouTube, anyway) interview with Cathy Newman of Britain's Channel Four, when they discussed the gender pay gap, amongst other things. Despite hardly being able to get a word in edgewise, he was brilliant.

I haven't listened to even a fraction of his material, and I don't agree with absolutely everything he says, but what I've heard has put him on a very small list of my secular intellectual heroes. He certainly has courage to tell the truth.
