Whatever it is, it's better in the wind.

On a road less traveled.

Hey All, I have been in Boise for almost three weeks now, I was waiting to report in, in the  hopes that both Petra and I would be here, however she is still stuck back east awaiting the sale of the house and I had to report to work.
The trip out was an uneventful three and a half day drive across the country, total of 2400 miles. I have to say asides from heavy snow in PA and bad winds in WY it was very enjoyable to see parts of the country that I have not traveled in many years.
I want to thank Raymond (Whooray) and Greg (NoGrey) as well as the rest of the Valkyrie riders out here for the warm and wonderful welcome. All of them have been great and have welcomed me like a long lost friend who has returned.  cooldude
I must especially thank Greg as he has been storing my bikes for several weeks now in his garage.  cooldude cooldude I believe he was volunteered  Grin by Raymond to store the bikes, and he stepped way up and is taking good care of them, even though I occasional get text messages from the group about extra parts in Greg’s garage.  crazy2 Shipping the bikes was a scary thing, but the company I used did a great job and they arrived safe and sound almost a week ahead of schedule.
We are hoping that our house back east will sell in the next few weeks and I can get Petra out here so we can start looking for a new house here as well as plan our summer rides through unexplored country.  cooldude
Just wanted everyone to know I am still alive and kicking.
See you down the road.  Smiley

Gives ya sort of a tingle, doesn't it, when you contemplate the enormity of the huge change in life you've undertaken? Not an adrenalin-rush, exactly, but still... quite a feeling! I admire the boldness and risk-taking spirit this sort of thing represents, and I congratulate you for having the courage to follow your hopes and dreams! To think and ACT big!!!

I know it's nearly impossible to remain patient with the seeming snail's pace of things, but this, too, will pass. Soon enough you'll be reflecting back upon all of this... especially all of the challenges met and dispatched... and you'll take well deserved pride in having accomplished all that you have. I wish you and Petra the best of luck with your new life together.

DDT

P.S. I may be passing near y'all in June on my way to IZ... If I do, I'll try to contact y'all, so maybe we can do dinner or something... It would be great to see y'all again, and... I do believe Petra still owes me a hug...   coolsmiley

To All, Thanks for the well wishes and if you are in the area, yes, please do look us up, we love seeing old friends and making new ones.  cooldude
@ Bruce, you are correct it is a rush and a huge step to take this on, however Petra and I know no other way, it has been this way all our time together, we hope this is the last move we make. You know that you are always welcome at our house and I believe you are correct Petra does owe you a hug. I guess you will just have to swing on by and collect.  Smiley
We hope that by the time Bruce and Robin are in the area we will be somewhat settled in and life will be moving forward.

Glad to have you here in Boise ICE. No problem storing your bikes...I think there are still a few parts left but they don't take up much space  Grin . But seriously, they're not a problem and are exactly as you left them the day you were here. You can always come by and take them for a ride weather permitting. I'll probably ride to breakfast this Saturday unless it gets ugly.
