I tell you some of Hollywood that were asked to do the national anthem could certainly take a few lessons from this girl. She is truly awesome and does real justice to the anthem and the mike broke before she sang. Fergie is put to shame from this girl.

Talking about Fergie and others that make an anthem "their own," I wish singers would think of their job as leading the singing of the anthem, rather than performing it.

Absolutely! It's a traditional song and should be performed traditionally.

Other than Jimi Hendrix' instrumental version on the guitar, I don't like it being changed.

And Hendrix was at a concert, not kicking off a sporting event.

You never hear any of John Philip Sousa's marches being butchered up for an individual's own attention seeking behavior.
