The fact is, cutting off the barrel where both those yahoos did, renders it a single-shot.  But it will still shoot and the mod makes it into an NFA weapon (short barrel rifle) that requires application to the govt for a tax stamp - BEFORE it's modified.

I know of a gentleman named Randy Weaver who sawed off a rifle ( I believe ) about 1/4 inch to short and it did not go so well for him or his family back in the 90's if anyone remembers Ruby Ridge in Idaho.  But like Serk stated some animals are more equal than others.

I for one am glad to see these left-wingers disarm themselves. People who blame someone or something for something because they don't understand where the harm really comes from are like those who believe four leaf cloves and horse shoes bring good luck.
