Am thinking of buy $300K from Genworth  ,  it's  $117.00 a month for 20 years .
I want my wife's life to  have more  comfort    if I leave before I am 73.

Anyone else have term life ins   ?
I am wondering what others are doing  for life ins

Term life is the kind I have. Quit paying, quit having, unlike Whole Life... but if you want to invest money, there's probably better ways than Whole Life...

Yo, KIDD,
I had term life ins for 40 yrs.. I OUTLIVED it cooldude Bought it when i was 25 yrs. old. Wanted to leave something for the wife & kids.
Had a fairly hi risk life style, street Policeman in Wash. DC for 22 yrs., police, scuba diver, sky diver, motorcycle rider.
I'm 68 yrs. old now, retired, no scuba/sky diving, but i still ride my motorcycle(s) GL1800 & '00 Valk standard 20K+ miles per yr..
Have no life ins. now, but the kids are grown & doing well, THANK YOU LORD Wink, house is paid for, got some CD's, no stocks, so between the house & savings, my wife should be OK.
Depending on your lifestyle & general health habits, drinkin', smokin', etc..., i'd say you'll see @ least 74 years on this side of dirt. Roll Eyes
It's all a crap shoot, but one things for sure, ain't none of us gettin' outta here alive Sad
Good luck to ya,
the hobo

I have term insurance but told my wife to find her some rich guy when I am gone.  If she goes first, I am moving into my Toy Hauler and selling our house.  Either that or finding some old gal with her late husband's insurance.  btw, what does your wife look like in case I am interested????  uglystupid2

My wife is 40 and from Russia , she is beautiful , I am very lucky  .
She has all the  old fashioned qualities  you'd want in a lady  .
She cooks every meal and keeps the house spotless and I could go on , but won't .
Probably  tooo young for you

Are you sure it is female?

Buy term and invest the difference. Buy the right amount of term.

You might want to hedge your bet and buy a convertible option. You can switch it to a whole life policy in the future. Say you get cancer and you want to keep the insurance. Just an option to consider. The term life insurance market is very competitive right now. I would shop it big time.

Are you really sure?

I have some things that might make you doubt your own eyes. I am not so sure.

Sorry about that. I have seen some things lately that a guy should not have to see. Must be a little jumpy......................
