Tucson - Its a dry heat

Thinking of installing one for a little easier maintenance. Unlike the Legacy Valk, this is a bugger to find something solid to jack up with.

But of all my bikes that had them in the past, it was one of the first things I removed, as it always seemed to ground out first.  Seems odd to be going the opposite direction...

Anybody who has done this - have you experienced any issues with grounding the centerstand on fun mountain roads?  I assume the left side with the "pedal" would ground out first.
TIA

I have one on my 2014.  Easy to put the bike up.  I have scraped a peg but no never the center stand.  I am not a very aggressive rider.

You can see from mine that you don't have to worry about bottoming out.  The low part is back next to the tire so it wont hit anything.  The kicker peg is always above the bottom.  And you don't need the special guard if you adjust the kicker properly.

Thanks guys.
Prgrmerror - I used to ride... more aggressive.  But the clock keeps ticking and reactions get slower, and luck is not a valid "Plan A" to save my sorry posterior... So I tend to be a little more cautious these days.

It would piss me off to lowside because of the centerstand causing the rear wheel to lift. But it certainly looks tucked out of the way.

It appears you did not use the F6B exhaust piece with the dimple for the centerstand?  Is that what you are referring to as the "special guard"?  The install looks good - how severely was the "adjustment" of the kicker?  Torch and pipe wrench, or a 24" x 2" steel pipe?

No I just had it up straight, put a block under the kicker, in close to the stand and smacked the kicker part down until it didnt touch the shield.

I have had my Center stand on now for over 2 years and gone over many speed bumps and never once scraped the bottom
