Yo AdrainR- after another week of rain and snow here in upstate New York it looks like we may start next week with a heat wave- mid to upper 50's! Maybe I can finally get the Valk out of it's winter slumber. What's happening in your neck of the woods?

Weather starting to look better. 55 to low 60s coming this comming week. Since I picked up a nail somewhere on my last ride last fall, im taking the Valk in for a new set of tires. There is 1/2 tread left on the front, but will get a new set so I will be good for the 4000 mile road trip planned for mid summer. Im glad I have a second bike that I've been able to ride on those days that the weather has been close to good temps. I will ride in 45+ days but starting out in the 30s is abit chilly. I changed the oil and added some fuel system cleaner to a fresh tank of gas so the GL1000 is finally getting the cob webs blown out. Should be able to ride it to work most of this coming week. FINALLY.

My wife and I went out today for a 4 hour ride along the St. Lawrence. What a great day for a ride. The temp was 16C and it was sunny. We could have stayed out a lot longer, but we had supper cooking at home. I also did the oil changes on both bikes and changed the tires on the SUV to summer tires. Hopefully, spring is here to stay. It is supposed to go up to 18C tomorrow and Tuesday. I am sure glad to catch some wind today. Oh ya, my bastardized batwing works great. Really cuts the wind and no handling issues.

It's so close it's here. Hit 90* here yesterday. Got out for a couple hour ride. (double click on image for full size) Still a little snow on the mountain, it'll be gone soon.

Wow that is way cool I had forgotten what its like to have beautiful weather and have snow on the ground. Its been years since I have been in a climate that has been like that. Between living out west and then in Florida you dont get to much of that unless you go up into the mountains, out west of course Brings a whole different feel and smell to the air. I must admit Florida is nice to live in but there are certain things that are just wonderful about being up north. I do miss being out on the water in the fall and spring or even the winter, its just so different when there is no one around and the air is slightly brisk.

Every place has their pluses and minuses. Here it was 24C (75F) but windy. My wife and I got out for a 4 hour ride and it was nice to be out on the bikes. Last night we had a pretty good wind storm with the wind reaching 120kph (75mph) and it did a number on my garage roof. We lost power at 10pm, so I was up until 1:30am nursing the generator and making sure that the sump pump was clearing out the water, but the water coming in pretty much stopped by then. I was then up at 5am to survey the damage and then off to Lowes to get the shingles. By noon I had everything done and we were on the bikes by 1pm. The power came back on at 4pm while we were out on the bikes. All in all, not too bad of a day.

Glad everything came out ok and you got some riding time in. I have a whole house generator and its saved me a few times. We need ac here and when a storm hits its so hot and humid and its usually days for power to be restored. Have it hooked to natural gas and it could be fully automatic.

yep. everything which is being written indicates sun burn summers will be short, spring and autumn will almost be non-existent and winter long and cold.

As soon as the politicians and companies figure out how to make money from it, then they will push that agenda. Until then, they will go with the global warming crap and make money from the carbon credits. yep. everything which is being written indicates sun burn summers will be short, spring and autumn will almost be non-existent and winter long and cold.
