Looking for suggestions on  route to Roanoke from Cincinnati Oh

Do your best to stay on the back roads if at all possible.

From Cincy, I would go over to Charleston,WV. and then take rte 60 South East to I-81 then South to Roanoke. 60 is a fun road but not terribly technical.(after you get out of the Charleston area.
