Well, on my 99CT, I finally had to change the front tire...not that I really needed to, but the original valve stem was leaking some times and some times not leaking...I guess I had about another 1000 miles left on the Metzler 880, but I wasn't going to trust it any more....I bought a Metzler 888 and hope to see how it does...I never changed out the front tire before, but the funny thing is, I changed out the rear tire and did the total rear end maintenance just a few months ago...I felt like I could do the front , but took my time and made sure I was ready to do it myself...I look back now and think how easy it was and how unjustified I was to worry about doing it...!!! I also had the dealer to mount the new tire for $35...I put Ride-On in it after I got it all done and went for a test ride and think it will be a great tire...I don't know how many of ya'll have the 888 on the front, so if you do, let me know how you rate it...Next concern...the alternator needs cleaning up and hope I don't break any bolts trying to get it off...!!!

Email BigBF and ask for his video on removing the alternator bolts.

Removed my alt on a '99 last year and all the bolts came out zero problems or tapping, warming or lubes needed.

I just ordered the ME 888 racial ,should be here wed. Changing from the E3 on theIS ,just don t like the noise they make plus thread life is at 15k right now and not good. The tourer has had the 880 for the last 3 to 4 changes. Ordered new bearings and seals for both wheels with a new bridgestone ecopia tire for the rear. Softer than the michelins I am used too but for a car tire has more rounded edges. Thus the comparison between the wedge of a flat profile tire vs the more rounded ones. So far I really like the wege it is tops in cornering, has also more thread on the ground ,ok it sometimes floats at high speed  LOL
