In the fuse block under the side panel is a fuse labeled 5amp auxilleryterminal, I keep blowing this fuse but have no idea what is on it. Everything seems to work when it is blown buT I’d like to know what it’s for. Anybody know?

It is an aux line with nothing on it. Evidently th PO has something wired to it that does aws more than 5amps. I cant remember what color the wire is .....green maybe.....look at the wiring diagram and find that wire and trace it to see what is wired to it.

Thanks, at least now I know its nothing important. Funny thing is everything on the bike works even when it's blown. I'll have to trace the line because maybe the wire got pinched somewhere and is just shorting out.

Most use it to trigger something that only needs power when key on. I used mine to trigger my pc-8 fuse block.

The wires (2) are behind the right side cover. They're in a plastic hood. If you find them and something is plugged in it, trace the wires to find what's going on.

I’m curious how you discovered you keep blowing the fuse if nothing of consequence is hooked up to it ? I only check my fuse panel if there is a problem.

Let's not con-fuse the issue.

I was dealing with another issue so was checking the fuse panel regularly. I solved the other issue but discovered this in the process.

If that fuse is being blown there is something somewhere hooked into it.

There is either something connected to it or the wire lead is shorting out to the frame somewhere. I’ll be heading out the garage to trace the line as soon as I make my second cup of coffee this morning.

So it was two separate issues. First a relay that was in the bike when I bought it was wired up wrong, fixed that. Second the brake lights only worked sporadically and kept blowing fuses. That was a bad factory connector. I took it apart repaired it and put it back together and everything is working well. Glad to have those issues solved.

So the relay was triggered by the acc. Circuit ? What was the relay powering ?

Relay was supposed be triggered by the accessory but was put together wrong. The relay was only powering the 12volt plug on the dash. Now it operates that as well as the 400 watt amp.
