Got over 100k on fac shocks. Did put progressive springs in frt. awhile back. But now noticing more bounce with wife on bk. tc. So figured time for rear shocks.  She loves the car tire for comfort. So dont want something to stiff. Any suggestions? also price wise?

I'm happy with the used Interstate shocks I put on my Tourer.  Maybe replace them with new OEM?  Is there anyone nearby with a low-mileage Interstate for you to compare shocks with?

Worksperformance.com builds shocks to your needs. Tell them the bike/weight and your weight for oneup and twoup riding. I love mine.

Not to hi jack thread, but have been thinking of options on my I/S. Not that they are worn out but I am accustomed to the wing ride. Any good or bad reports on progressive air shocks? I see a comment on air came in as I sent this out.

I have 416's on Deerslayer, have for nearly 20 years.  I think they changed the number to 418 IIRC.  Anyway, I don't recommend them except for solo riding.  They don't have enough load capacity and no way to upgrade the springs, again IIRC.  You can increase their compression rate by adding extra ATF fluid.  I have a compressor on board so I can add or remove air while on the roll.  They also need regular seal replacements.  Done mine like 3 times now. Maybe because I often put lots of air in them - my compressor is a piston type, goes up to 135#.  I would recommend 444's with the correct spring rate and length for your use.  Yeah they are spendy.  Worth it to me.  I'm no lightweight and often pull trailers. Almost never haul a co-rider with the trailers but often w/o.  I have no experience with Works Performance or other brands.

I just put Progressive 412’s on my Interstate and like them. I now realize that I have to change the springs in the front because the new shocks highlight the harshness of the oem front springs. I have removed my trunk, weigh less than 200 pounds, and rarely have a sexond passenger, so I was told by Progressive’s tech support that I don’t weigh enough for the heavy duty shocks.

I have 412 HD's on my IS and my standard, I am 200 pounds also and do ride two-up occasionally on the IS.  Excellent shocks for the money.

I installed Progressive 444 HD (heavy duty springs, not to be confused with that other brand of motorcycle) on my Tourer and have never looked back.  I went with 12.5" versus stock 13" length.  Don't let anyone tell you the 444's will not fit, they fit just fine.
