For more cold protection, you might look at some interstate pictures showing the fairing bottom (turning clearance unimpeded) air wings, and fork wings. For air coming up under the fairing and bars. Some windshield makers sell fork wings that may be somewhat universal (and can be home made too, though valk forks are fat ones). But I've never been a fan of wind blockers on the hand grips. Good gloves work. Also, most of the shields that fit on batwings are pretty narrow (and short). I'd be looking for a shield that mounted up on the four standard screws, but got at least 2-4" wider on each side, as soon as it clears the screw mounts (above the fairing). The shield on that interstate is afteramrket, wider on each side than stock.

I have access to off cuts to cut a screen from, some are quite large but I don't like looking through screens so it won't be a tall screen, but that will all depend on the way it air flows, disturbed air is no fun at helmet height..... might end up looking through it if the short screen pushes the dirty air at helmet height I also don't like the bulk of winter gloves, I have some very good warm gloves but with the heated grips the grip feels to fat so I am hoping I can get away with my autumn gloves.... time will tell, I used to have plastic wind deflectors on my old XR600 many years ago and liked the no wind in winter I looked into lower wind deflectors but will get this done and trialed first....will see how it goes after that

On my standard, I found the fork mounted lowers helped with the helmet buffeting I was getting with my Memphis Shades screen.

You Kiwis probably call them the Continental flip wind screens. As far as the fork lowers, in my opinion the helmet buffeting situation is really the only thing they are good for.

This Kiwi has no idea what any screen is called, previously the only thing I have had to do with them is removing them when I get the bike...well mostly, last bike I did put it back on for a bit but it was hard to get rid of the buffeting

Never had a windscreen or fairing till I got old. Now I have a fairing, a backrest, highway pegs, music in my helmet. I'd hate to give any of them up. Getting soft, I guess.

The proper height for the screen if you want good wind protection is to have the top of the screen level with your nose when sitting on the bike. This allows the air to be deflected over your head while still being able to look over the screen.

Waiting waiting waiting..... the brackets I ordered are coming separately....still in china but the tracking hasn't been updated since it was ordered?? I might have to do some rough brackets to start playing with setting up the screen height..hard to not be working on it

#2 for me yup similar too number 2 is what I am thinking not in that pic but I did make some wind defectors for the forks...it does make a difference with buffeting, I had higher screen but like having the wind so my preference is a very low screen still, I did run with 4 different heights
