About a week ago I finally got around to having the the new Michelin Road 5 tire mounted on the back of my bike. Work has been busy, so I haven't had much time to pile some miles, but a few first jaunts have done nothing but put a big smile on me face. cooldude  I'd post a few pics as I think it's a good looking tire, but I hate using photobucket to post them. I wish this site would allow you to directly post pictures!!!!  Anyway..

It's slighty rounder shape then the Pilot 4 probably attributes to it's faster turning characteristics.  You can really snap the bike into different vectors easily...  Three words come to mind...  Snappy, sticky and smooth...this tire exudes these qualities in spades man...

We'll see how it wears, but for now I am glad I made the decision to go this route.

Incidentally, I called Michelin before buying this tire with some questions...and once again made a request for them to start making front tires for us in the 130 size (radials)...  probably futile, but worth the tiny effort.

I really would like to have a properly sized tire for the front of the bike.

Glad your enjoying that tire!
The Avons I put on mine are a rounder tire as well and I m experiencing the same great handling qualities that you are.

Question: When you compare the Road 4 to the 5 as being rounder, would that be  comparing  a new tire to a new tire?
And is that 5 a GT version? Load and speed rating?

The 5 is not manufactured in the GT version yet and its the same load rating as the factory tire the speed rating is higher. 180/55 ZR17 (73W)

Yo Adrian been riding much lately and hows the Michey doing?
