We rolled out of Lexington this around 9:00am, 19 bikes strong, with temps already in the low 50's.  Our first stop was to the site where Buford H. Pusser was run off the road and killed.

We then headed for Shiloh and the self-guided tour of the battlefield and cemetary.

We each had our own agenda in the Park and headed off in small groups to spend time looking at the sights.

This is a picture from the Hornet's Nest, which was one of the bloodiest conflicts of the Civil War.

SmokinJoe was able to locate the gravesite of his great-great-grandfather, who is buried in the Shiloh National C

Jenny and I rode in the morning of the ride, spotted the motel but rode by heading to the McDonalds for a pit stop. When we headed back to the motel, they were getting ready to leave.

Trying to get a bunch of bikers to line up and park is a challenge... our first attempt was at the Buford monument.

Then we tried it again at Shiloh.

What a beautiful day for riding in West Tennessee!

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I didn't realize they had a marker for Pusser. Neat. Thanks for sharing. I like to learn something new from ride reports.
