Hello, Have a slight hesitation when I first give the throttle the twist, but after that it runs VERY well. It sat over the winter in a garage that never got below 40 degrees. I had star tron ( and run through carbs for a bit ) in it since parked. Has 28,000 miles . Plugs are new,I should just put in fresh gas and run the snot out of it, suggestions ? Thank you very much ! I'd give it a good old "Italian Tune Up" (go ride it like you stole it). If the problem persists after a tank or so maybe give it a dose of seafoam, which generally works pretty well to clear up minor hiccups after storage.
Star-tron blows as a stabilizer. The marina I used to work got "sold" on it one year and started exclusively using it for winterizing close to 500 boats one year. The next spring we had probably 5x the number of carb rebuilds necessary as usual, cost we had to eat since the customer drops the boat off running fine, pays for professional storage, they expect it back in the spring running fine also. The sales guy's big pitch was that while the product was pricier than what we were using (bulk sta-bil), it'd "virtually eliminate" costly rebuilds and issues in the spring and save the business a ton. What a load of bull. Needless to say they quickly switched back to Sta-Bil (this time the blue Marine formula, which was new at the time and supposed to be better for ethanol fuel) and problems next spring were actually "virtually eliminated", seemed even better than the plain red stuff we'd used before.

I agree about star tron, never bought into it. Try B-12 and seafoam as mentioned and run it. I do know an individual that would drain his fuel after storage because his bike did not like to run well on the additive he used for storage?

Don't just use a little of your choice...(Sea Foam ,, B12) dump half can in and ride it. Ride it where you have to stop n go so the stuff is working in the problem area. Do that then park it for the night. Do over again the next day then ride it on the open road. Use fresh gas right from the git go ( remove the old gas, that's just trouble) and run it almost completely out. Also should run it on reserve for a bit in case there is crap in the bottom of the tank.
After you run that tank full out fill with fresh gas and dump the other remaining half can in and just ride.

I always dump in a half can of Techron first of riding season and ride it like a stole it for first tank, this will clear up any deposits in the carbs.
