Better handling-------------Illusion?

Went for a 60 mi quick scoot today and because it was so warm, I left the windshield home. After a bit of acclimation, I noticed it felt like I had better control of the handling-- not that it is in any way bad to start with.
Maybe its because I'm not behind a plexi wall? My new screen is a Natl Cycle Switchblade that I'm looking through instead of over.

I find the lack of screen gives you a better sense of speed so you don't go into corners too hot.... but that is just me, not used to screens as I mostly don't use them

Any windshield has some effect on handling because of the additional wind load.
A non frame attached shield like the Valkyries use is the worst but only real world choice.
A frame attached fairing is usually the best choice but even they have an effect. (not aware of any for the Valkyrie)
Fork attached shields were really always my last choice, because of the wind effects.

Kicking the bottom out about an inch thereby laying the top of the screen back makes a world of difference in handling and resistance. I made an aluminum bracket to extend the bottom of my Memphis shades screen, it was a very noticeable improvement. The valk I have now has an oem tourer set up, I have not monkeyed with it yet.
