Question for the guys that fabricate things.  Thinking about fabing an exhaust pipe.  I presently have truck stacks, just straight cut, on the bike, but want to make my own  cut a little different.  My question is, what type metal tubing do I need? Once done, I want to powder coat them black.  When I put on the truck stacks, I cut the piggies back about half their original length,. I did not drill out the baffles.
Looking for suggestions here to make sure I get the right material. There is going to be some welding involved for the tips. Planning on using 4" diameter, or so material.

Contact your powder coater first. Most exhaust pipes include aluminum in the mix. If they know ahead of time , they may have to use a bonding primer. I always tell my powder coater what I am bringing him. It usually does not matter. BTW , have a look at his finished product  waiting pick up. You will see the quality of the finish.
