I want to modify my exhaust on my Interstate. I would like to have turnouts that point out about 45 degrees and terminate about middle of the differential. Has anyone done anything like that? I am concerned about attaching the turnouts and supporting the exhaust system.

You can get turnout tips, though I did not see any from Air Flow truck stacks (18").

http://store.airflo.com/chrome-exhaust.html

The problem with turnouts (instead of slash cuts turned out), is that they will certainly drag in hard leans and entering/departing aprons at an angle (increased a lot if you have shorter than OE 13" shocks).

I think I remember reading about some guy who got turn outs, then sawed off about half the turnout to diminish the dragging issue.

The shorter turnouts I've seen on Valks, have been part of a complete cut and weld glass pack system (Contact Mark T - Horseapple Ranch)

You may find it instructive to look a Cobra slash cuts (for valk) vs Two-Brothers turn outs (for valk)

The Two brothers turnouts are very shallow.  Easier on one inch pipes, than 4 inch pipes.

I bought over the counter 4" 45 degree chrome. I do not remember the cost. I located the original mount screw and put in two. They have been on the bike for several years with no problems. The drag marks on the tips show non believers how much lean these bikes will do.

When I got my Valk, it had turn out 18” tips on it.  The original owner put them on.   He had drilled a hole in the base of the saddle bag mount and had a bolt though it to support it.

I still have them if you would be interested.  I put truck stacks on it when I got it.
