My 99 CT..."Liahona"

Augusta, GA.

« on: June 27, 2018, 02:25:47 PM »

Thought I would ask those that might know...I have a 99 CT with one of the Cobra Light Bars with the 4 1/2 " flood lights on it...I am looking for the small plastic switch that came with it...I know it will be giving out soon, so I want to see if any one knows where I might be able to obtain one...Here in Augusta, Ga., Radio Shack has moved out...I hope some one can give me a replacement sw. location online so I can prepare for the day...I want to replace it with one that will fit in the same location on the light bar...Thanks for any help you can give me...!!!

Autozone sells an exact replacement. You can upgrade to a lighted model but you have to add a ground wire to make the light work. I get a red light so it doesn't dilate my eyes at night and I can instantly tell if the lights are on.

To me that little switch is kind of inconvenient. I'd put one of these on the handlebar and wire it into the light bar (or relay depending on your setup) and simply remove and bypas the switch on the light bar. Cap the hole or not. https://www.amazon.com/Single-Rocker-LED-Switches-SPST-Waterproof-12V-Motorcycle-Handlebar-3-1-0-swb1-smnt-Brn60-sbpn-3/dp/B0776L61XC

Well, I like to keep as much original stuff as I can on my 99CT( I do have a few Mods)...the switch that came with the Cobra Light Bar is a mini rocker switch...about 5/8 "W x 13/16"L...and that is the total W and L...the hole in the bar is about 1/2" x 3/4"...trying to find one that will fit...any help to where I can find a couple of them, would be great...!!!
