So many colors to choose from yet so few stand out

Covington, TN

« on: July 01, 2018, 03:35:44 AM »

Recently got my hands on a 98 Standard (blue and cream) with the dreaded hydro-lock diagnosis.    Bought it as a parts bike (no title so there is no other option).  There are a couple of things I wanted.

Now that I have it, I'm finding it very difficult to take it apart and piece her out.   It's like having to put a life long pet down.    This fat lady is so clean, just over 10k on the clock.  She still has her original shoes on, Dunlaps and they aren't even worn out though aged.   This sucks,  I am really not enjoying this......   Sad
I know, it's just a machine.......

Can't you buy a steering head and a title from some trashed bike (but
not insurance-totaled) and "fix" it with your new "parts", or is that technically illegal?

Anywho... I'd be interested in your chrome smog-port holder downers, they don't
make them anymore...

Yes I know what you mean.

When I sold my bike I briefly thought about parting it out. I had every bit of farkle on the bike and some are not obtainable anymore and thought about taking all this off. I could have brought in some money but I looked at her and thought I cant do that, so she went with everything on it.

A used frame and title could be had and transfer of parts could be done and you would have a new bike.

put a sign on it  "Jane Fonda's bike"

I think 100 people will volunteer to put it down for you

Could make an event at IZ out of it

No title?  That sounds suspicious.  How so?

As long, as some of these Fat Girls will be around, a lot of us are just temporary caretakers.

I understand. Haven't had any takers yet on my Valk, hate to even consider parting her out.
