Rolling Thunder 2017

I know I am a nobody when it comes to InZane planning (although I would like to help), but I would like to make a couple of suggestions with regards to locations for 2019. Considerations concerning lodging, entertainment, food, and great road trip routes being taken in to account along with location for both coasts May I suggest the following. Branson, MO as one, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge area as another, one that is not centrally located, but has so much to do, and great roads is Moab, UT. I have put together bus tours to these locations many times, and always think how awesome a motorcycle trip would be. Have done Moab on the bike and it was great. Last one I would suggest is Traverse City, MI. Beautiful area, lots to do close by, and some nice roads. Contact me at my email timmyba@gmail.com if I can be of help,

I think in keeping with the East/West rotation AND trying to be more central, Branson, MO seems pretty good!  Moab, UT would be cool, too.  Traverse City, MI might be better for the next East Coast.

Also, has there been an InZane near Grand Teton/Yellowstone yet?  Chama, (north-central) New Mexico?  Rapid City, South Dakota?  Just throwing around some more ideas....

2015 was in Spearfish, SD pretty close to Rapid City.  Only one I've been able to make it to yet, hopefully I'll get out to more soon. And 2017 was Billings MT.

Kind of hoping '19 will be somewhere I can make it to, but we'll see.

Posted on the main board on 9/3 by F6Gal:
The place:  Taos, NM
The dates:  June 9-14, 2019

Registration will open on or soon after Jan. 1, 2019.

Be there!!

Edit: The hotel has blocked the entire property and conference space for InZane.  So, as long as we fill the place, it's just us.  I love that!

I’d say 200 bikes, 300 people. Yeah, the 1800’s are there also. A dozen or so.  cooldude

I know it's early, but I'm starting to look at routes South for June, 2019. The Mrs and I are planning to attend Inzane in Taos and will be wanting to take a bit more of a scenic route on our way down...maybe 5 days on the road. We've ridden a fair bit in WA, OR, ID, MT, and WY but have never seen much of CO (other than a few work trips for me) or any of UT, so in particular I'm interested in routes through CO and UT after we pass through ID. We'd like to stay off Interstates on the way down for the most part...we'll be making a bee-line back to BC on them on the return ride in order get ready for  our Valhalla Rally the following week.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...we're looking forward to researching any ideas that perk our interest  over the Winter months. Thx Cool

Mike, being that you haven't been thru Utah yet, I would hit Zion, Bryce, Arches, Monument Valley. Then over to Taos from there. There is beautiful country in Colorado also, but much of that will be very similar to what you have in B.C. The heat thru the desert will be an issue though.
