Tucson - Its a dry heat

Has anybody who has made the switch experienced this?

Split at the front, dead center.  Stuck some duct tape on it when it was about an inch long to stop the crack until I could get to it.  It worked.
Now it's splitting at the side;  Cry. Will post some pics later today.

While my long dirt driveway may be a contributing factor... Shocked and I can come up with a solution, to basically strengthen the perimeter from the interior... would be interesting to hear if anybody else has been down this road.
