Not mine, and I have no interest in the bike or acquaintance with the owner.
But a hellofa deal.
Dang. Shocked
If you know someone on the fence, this should push them over...

It's mine now.  Been wanting a new Valk for years.  I'm working on getting it shipped.

Congrats! cooldude

You do know about the unofficial board policies, yes?

#3 is that if you purchase a bike through a members link, you owe him a beer; I forget the other ones... angel

I'll give you a heads up next time I'm in town.  Dang.  I was just there (Richmond, actually) 6 years ago...

Bike arrived early this morning, looks good so far.  Already been to the DMV for new title and registration.  Now the only bad thing is they are calling for rain all week.  Guess I'll need to pull out the goretex suit.  Rear tire is about ready to be replaced.  Seller included a new Pilot rear.

This bike feels so much lighter than my 2000 standard.  Just rolling it around in the driveway I could feel the difference.

First ride Tuesday evening, bike took some effort to turn and slow circles and figure 8s were a little jerky in the transition.  I did not ride aggressively due to the rear tire wear, handling feedback and just getting used to this bike.

The rear tire's tread was nearly worn down in the center and was pretty flat with an edge transitioning to the sidewall.  I have a new Mich Pilot 2CT which came with the bike mounted yesterday and I installed the wheel late last night.  The front tire was only inflated to about 30 psi.  I inflated to 40 Fr and 42 Rear.  I added RideOn to the rear in lieu of weights and for puncture resistance.

This morning on the way to work I took a short ride in my hood at about 20 mph weaving left/ right to scrub the tire and did some tight counter balanced circles in the cul-de-sac.  What a difference the new rear tire and extra psi in the front made.  Bike is so much more responsive now and it leans over with little effort.  Short ride to work was enjoyable.  As long as the weather holds I'll try to get some miles in tonight.
