Hello, I’m picking up my “brand new” zero mile 2014 Valk from the dealership tomorrow. I’ve already spent some time on this forum researching saddlebags and most of the posts that I’ve found are older posts. I was wondering which hard bags are out there that don’t require custom work. I’m not very creative on my own fabrication projects.

*I saw the insanely expensive Corbin bags and they look sweet but are there any under $1k?
*The bike is black and I’d be okay with flat black or even the leather wrapped.

Thank you in advance for the advice.

Basically, nobody bought 1800 Valkyries and nobody made anything for them.

I've got Corbins and like them.

There's the OEM bags from Honda.

People have used various methods to attach arbitrary bags, often
using mounting hardware from Honda OEM bags, but some amount
of fabrication was needed.

I believe someone on here used champion hard bags for a victory motorcycle with Honda bag mounts. They looked really good. He mentioned he had to some modification to the hardware though. http://www.sideroadcycles.com/AmericanMotorcycles/Hard_Bags/King_Pin_Sabre.html

In the same boat as you, Trying to decide. Seriously thinking of trying these using the stock Honda brackets (for their soft bags) :   https://www.tsukayu.com/QuickDetachableStrong.html   Nice quality, better capacity than the Corbins. Flat back may just bolt right up. Hard to believe no ones tried this yet ? ......

If you search saddlebags you will find several posts on a few different style bags.

Here is one of them.  They come in Black, Blue, Red.

I went with a set from viking, just have to drill your own holes in the hard bag to match the OEM stays/mounts.

Total price is under 1k, think like 800.

I did the OEM saddlebag stays from Honda and Ebay bags from Mutazu
https://www.ebay.com/itm/LW-Universal-Hard-Bag-Saddlebags-For-Honda-Suzuki-Kawasaki-Harley-Yamaha-Victory-/251732020973?hash=item3a9c65ceed.

Took the smallest amount of "fabricating" as I ended up cutting off a part of the Mutazu bracket to fit the mounting points on the OEM brackets correctly to the shape of the saddlebags themselves.

I think with some Ebay discounts I was able to do it all for about $550. The blue from Mutazu is just a bit of a tint off from my bikes, but it's good enough for me.

They look great ! Got a picture from the rear strait on ? Also did you buy both parts of the Honda brackets or just the top portion ? Thanks !

Those do look great.

I'm leaning toward the RS case which is larger.  I'd like to add hard bags but concerned about how wide the bike will be with them and how often do I really need the bags.  I have some soft bags I'll use for now until I make up my mind.

I put on some hard bags off a 1999 Valkyrie IS.  I had to make the stays, but I used the Honda brackets that attaches to the handles.

hope i do not offend anyone with my travel set up but i just can not or will not pay all the money required for saddlebags . My wife and I will be traveling to Barber motorsports park vintage motorcycle festival oct 5-7 and it just might be my last hooray .
My plan is to use my issue USMC sea bag I have used since 1st sent to Vietnam. I do have the little Honda rack behind the rider back rest and have used this same bag on all my bikes for over 50 years and it once held everything i owned.
