cooldude Greetings Valk Brothers! Had a really good early AM RTE w/ ChrisJ and VTX Bill.  Grin
I've been trying to put together a ride for us up this way and thought I'd post it if there were some of my fellow Valk bro's looking to get away as well.  Wink Not long but a few nights out in cooler weather.
So after discussion, we decided to leave on Thursday Sept. 27 and return Sunday 30th. We would head up to the Leeds, AL area the first day east of Birmingham near Barbers Motorsports. Make a visit to Barbers on Friday AM, then over to Cheaha then head up to the Ft. Payne, AL for the night. I've been told there are some nice area's to ride around Ft. Payne.  cooldude So we are going to see! Spend Friday night there. Then start south after 2:00 to get half way home. Maybe end up just northeast of Montgomery. Let me know if your interested? The temps ought to be really nice.  smitten

cooldude Nice Nic, I know that will be fun and it sounds like you'll be out a couple 2-3 weeks at least. Enjoy, be safe and maybe I'll see you back in NC over Thanksgiving if you're out that long? I'm spending a week there with family and taking the Valk.  coolsmiley

Wink No retirement here but VTX Bill is and Chrisj, Jeff is semi-retired though. Heck if I was retired I'd get home on occasions, just the opposite of now. coolsmiley

Farside. First of all thank you for the invite. Leeds Alabama is only an hour east of me. Unfortunately, do to my job here in Tuscaloosa, with a local college, I have no days off this time of year until, hopefully, middle of January. Next time I hope. Rice safe and enjoy.

Wink Hey Casey,  The reason I chose these dates is that Barbers Motor Sports doesn't have any events planned that weekend. The month of Sept & Oct has races or some going on almost every weekend so big crouds we are trying to avoid. I'll look at their calendar again to confirm. We'd love to have you both if we can so I'll get back to you very soon. Stay tuned........... coolsmiley

Abosolutely Roidfingers, I hope to do this next year as well because of the shorter trip time for us here in the Pan-handle. I reached out to Bighead as well to see if he would like to consider. Thanks for gettting back to me and good luck on your work schedule. See you next year if not sooner.  coolsmiley

Evening Nick,
Well It sounds like your trip could be altered even by the 18th if this Hurricane comes in to NC area that you are planning to visit. If so and your plans do change were are still set to go on Sept. 27th.
Keep it in mind and if you still leave out the 18th have a safe ride.  coolsmiley

Yeah we will probably push off for a week and let this mess go by. Still going North as I have a lot of family and friends up there, and I am looking forward to seeing everyone. But thanks for the invite, we will hook up again soon enough.
