Here's the number 866-784-1870 hours 8:30-4:30 Pacific. They will ask for a Vin number but I just went into a spin about having an 01 Valkyrie Interstate and that of the bikes out there and the ones I've ridden, I've found nothing to compare to it and with the V-Twin Harley hysteria wanning, it is time for Honda to re-visit the 97-03 Valkyrie. The rep on the phone was very polite and took down my information and comments about the need for a new Valk. So, give em a call, it's toll free.

I think the smart thing to do would be for Honda to call us and ask what we would like to buy from them.

Money talks and some of us would be screaming if they asked.

So, how many of you called? Or should I say, do you like horse meat? Has anyone called or do we assume that they don't think it is worth their effort because no one has requested a newer version Valk? Have you ever filled out a Honda survey? So, how do they know what to do? Look at the rest of the market? Or do people making personal requests matter not?

Call? Nope, but I was at the Inzane where we went to the plant where our Valkyries were made and they made us park the furthest away from the plant and in the grass.

Your effort is valiant but it's been hit much harder then you are doing. The great oZ himself used to talk to Honda STAFF.

They can call me.

I tell my dealer everytime I walk through the doors.

He says, "Boy, I'd sure like to get that Valk in on trade on a newer bike."

I say "I'm sure you would, let's do it,  where's the new Valk's?"

I didn't call.

Steve, I understand you enthusiasm, but I think you're way out of touch with reality.

Truthfully, I probably wouldn't be in line to buy a new one if they came out.  I almost always buy used.  The last new car I bought was in 1990.  The last new bike I purchased was in 1970.

AV, don't let him call you boy.  Tell him you just look small because you're riding that big old Valkyrie.   Wink

Like others have said .... "been there, done that, bought the T-Shirt, it faded, had to throw it out!"

However, if we could get every person that has said to us "Man I would sure like to own one of those!" to call Honda then maybe ... just maybe there may be a slight temperature drop in Hades ... about .0000001 F

You know, it may just be my own cynical opinion, but if I were a large corporation paying big bucks to reputable organizations to do market surveys for me I don't think I would make my decisions based upon a few or even a few thousand phone calls.

We're a small select minority.  I'm alright with that.

I will share my opinion when the opportunity presents itself, but our only real hope for a new Valkyrie is with the rise of another Joe Boyd within Honda's corporate ranks.

I'm sure I don't look small on the valk. Last time I rode a Shadow I felt like I was on a mini bike.

Oh, I agree with you Carl. Just everytime I see someone post about Honda this, Honda that, I get to thinking, "well, why don't we corporatly do something." But, as I can see, lots of us are over our prime and our lives are filled with daily chores. No real enthusiasm to "do" much else. What time we do have is spent riding or typing. Now off to lead a campout with 70 boys and 20 leaders. Just wish I had room on the Valk for my supplies.

Steve, I'm shocked at you.  ???  I just read a post in which you berated another member for flaunting his supposed superiority over the rest of the VRCC members.  A telltale sign of arrogance is one's willingness to assign reasons for others actions or inaction that they didn't  themselves identify.

If I wave the flag and some or all fail to follow it could be because those who didn't follow simply lacked the necessary character.  It could mean that the flag really wasn't worth following.  It could mean that I simply failed to inspire or properly communicate my own inspiration.  It could be that I was just wrong.   Roll Eyes

I'm happy that you're leading a campout of 70 boys and 20 non-boys, but if it's your reason for being condescending to others then I'm not as impressed as you think I should be.   cooldude

I'm not telling you this to initiate an argument.  I really do think you may be sharp enough to change directions.   Smiley

I think what you are referring to was a respoonse to someone making this comment, "Fortunately, neither the crackpots that deny evolution nor those that deny climate change can do much beyond posting internet rants" He was calling someone a crackpot if they denied evolution or global warming theories. I guess, after re-reading it it could be considered such. Evolution being a whole other discussion, was brought into this thread and well, my humanity came out.
As for the post here in this thread about the campout, was simply saying, I gotta get up from the computer and go on this campout. Which btw was awesome. perfect weather, great time, etc.
Thanks for helping me stay focused.
