I bought the lights like you mentioned on E bay and the mounting is not clear. So I need a bit of help please.    Mark on lamp was way off to the side on both lamps which don't look right .   I assume for the I/S the mark on the lampneeds to align with the center mark on the ring and the tab on the ring, correct ?
Or the lead lights need to be pointing up an down not side ways right ?

I plugged one in and what a difference over stock lights.

Having a hard time understanding the question.  Are you trying to fit the bulb into the reflector housing or trying to adjust the beam angle of the bulb?

If you mean fitment are you taking about the (three) tabs?  To make an H4 bulb fit in an Interstate, you need to remove (or clip) the two bottom tabs on the bulb.

If you mean alignment, I held the old halogen bulb next to the new LED bulb and it it was apparent how to adjust the bulb.  Yes up and down, not sideways.  Use the tiny Allen wrench supplied to adjust the beam angle.  It is straight up with the top hash mark.  I'd go take a picture right now but my bike is in town with BigBF at a lot I rented for him and his Aussie.  Yes quite a difference over stock!  Holy cow!

LEDs up & down was what I needed. I did compare it to the halogen and thought I had it figured right but wasn't sure and thought better to ask. Thankyou !

Correct me if I am wrong. Dosen`t the Interstate have two adjustment knobs next to the headlight housing to adjust the beams up or down. If I am correct, that may be easier then using the allen wrench. I don`t know if you turn them clockwise or counterclockwise to lower the beam of light. Maybe someone can clear that up for me.

These are adjustable LED bulbs.  The knobs you refer to are for the "big" vertical (up and down) adjustments.  Once set, they shouldn't need further adjustment no matter what type of bulb you use.

The allen adjustments are on the bulb itself and are for fine tuning the horizontal (side to side) LED beam angle. This allows me to seamlessly match the beam "line" on both Interstate bulbs, so they look and perform like one big bright bulb.

Probably the greatest consideration when replacing the headlight bulbs in an Interstate is the heat. MORE LIGHT USUALLY MEANS MORE HEAT and the Interstate headlight case is plastic. There have been a few reports in this forum about problems that were heat related, specific to the Interstate headlight case.  Caution would be indicated.
