I started to install the Show Chrome fogs Sunday night.  Getting the cowl off was not bad but the reinstall has been a pain and the lights are too wide apart to fit the cut outs.  I pulled the cowl back off, this time I removed the side pins on the upper cowl which allowed the bottom edge to pull out far enough to make removal and install of the lower much easier.  This is not shown in the videos.

The issue with the fogs being too far apart was remedied by me pushing on the inside edge to bend the brackets back and closer to the engine and toward the center line of the bike and now they fit into the cowl openings.

I am having an issue with the longer left side fastener, it just won't screw in so I am going to remove the cowl again and check the metal clip.  In the reinstall process I broke one of the 2 center push pin fasteners so I need to find a replacement for that.

I decided to go without DRL and Turns.  The DRLs don't seam that bright so I'll likely leave the fogs on all the time.  The Sh Ch harness is made to reach up to the turns but it would be easier with the Valk if they ran over to the same side to tie into the other harness or a hot lead for the DRL.

Update:
Lowes has a decent selection of auto fasteners that can work in place of the Honda push pin fasteners.
Got that final long hex fastener in and got everything back together.
I don't want to deal with the additional harness and wiring to get the turns and DRLs operational.  I thought about feeding the DRLs off the Assec feed but again I don't want to deal with running more wire for what I feel is a minor gain in functionality.

I'm thinking of adding more rear marker lights, maybe an LED license plate frame and maybe Amber side markers similar to Moonfer.  I'll likely just tie these into the Assec. feed.

Took it for a ride last night and all I can say is wow, what a difference.  I had my 1500 out first so the comparison was very noticeable.  As soon as I headed down the street on my 1800 I could see the vast improvement just from the LED headlight on both low and high beam.  When I turned on the Tridium fogs they lit well off both sides of the road and quite a distance down the road.  They provide a nice bright white light and seemed to reach out as far as the low beams.  I'd say these with my low beam light the road better than my 09 Wrangler with upgraded H4s and OE fogs.

Great job.

I went on the cheapo side and put in my own LED lights.  They work well.  $15 vs $300.

I've seen your post and your brackets.  More work than I wanted to do.  I understand about saving some money and still get a good quality result.  I installed generic front floods and rear aux lights on my Wrangler.  I ran the harnesses and installed a switch pod.  For the Valk I liked the idea of plug and play and the ready made brackets on the show chrome and equiv. sets.

I'm going to install some aux side markers and tail lights on the Valk.  For this I'll use some generic LEDs and run my own wire to the accessory circuit.
