Wow, that was close.  We almost had a deal breaker issue with the hotel.  Fortunately, we were able to convince them otherwise.  We would rather not have to start over from square one, but they now know we will, if necessary!  Almost a done deal... just a few minor points to iron out.

Wow, glad ya'll seem to have gotten that worked out! If you can share, will be curious what the issue was that almost caused a change of venue once everything's been buttoned up.

Well, we got off to a rough start.  Our contact was no longer employed there as of our day of arrival.  We got a very nice replacement, but she got thrown into this at literally the last minute (actually the day after the last minute Wink ).  There were several bones of contention (that were adequately resolved), but the deal breaker would have been the early bird cook out.  They did not want to let us do it ourselves.  They were willing to host it, but at a cost much higher than we can do it.  Of course, we probably could have gone off site, but we didn't tell them that.  Wink

Just looked at Franktown, CO and I don't see any hotel/motel in the area so guess that's out.  Wink

I'm assuming that was a sarcastic guess.

FYI, there have been several 100% accurate statements in this thread.  Even before Serk's sneaky tracking.

Even before Serk's sneaky tracking.

I always find it funny the name of the actor they motion captured for Gollum's real name is Andy Serkis.

No relation, of course...

(And yeah, I'm just funning, seeing as I was the one that admitted to sneaking in the first place...)

Okay... new hints:
The Serkles and anti-Serkles have been accurate, except one anti-serkle (due mileage calculation as the crow flies).
The following people have make correct assumptions regarding location in this thread.
     -  Serk
     -  T.P.
     -  Disco
     -  Meathead

P.S.  I believe Serk has taken himself out of the guessing game, because he is reasonably certain he has nailed the location.

Serk, are you serious???

Not even a minute.  A valk is a pretty large bike to have a person that young riding it and so new to riding.  The question should be...how many times will it be dropped in the first hour.
Someone learning to ride should not be on anything larger than a 500cc non sport bike.

I'm totally serious. The Valk was only my 2nd bike myself, and she's young, but she's also almost 6'2".

And... she's past the first minute already, has about an hour on a Valk so far of just practicing and getting a feel for it.

Edit to add - She'll be spending the majority of her riding time on this, but if she progresses enough, I'll put her on the Valk when she's got enough time on the Helix, and if she's doing well enough in time for Inzane, I see no reason to deny her the ride, if she's proven herself ready at that time.

Since you're in Texas, she has to take the MSF course first and then take the DPS riding and written test (under18). You can also schedule the DMV test in a relatively nearby small town with no long waiting list. You will have to take the bike (in totally legal shape and taken there in a totally legal manner), a car, and a driver to DMV for that test. The MSF classes provide the bike for that class.
I think she did the MSF classes a couple weeks back.  cooldude
The assumption might be correct, but it won’t be much help to anyone.  Grin

Not really. There's a bunch in the area over near I-25 but looking in Google, none are listed as actually in Franktown. Granted, it's only about 7 miles from I-25 to Franktown so one could assume possibly. Actually, Castle Rock seems a more likely place....or somewhere in that area at least.

And no...no sarcasm intended, was just going by what I could see(or not see) on "maps."   Wink

Actually, very early in this thread, some did guess correctly.  I couldn't confirm at that time, because we hadn't settled anything yet.

Sorry, I meant the original Franktown guess was a pun/sarcasm.

Ok, if there are no more guesses, I'll just throw it out there.
Meathead made the first correct guess (although I believe it was a WAG Wink ).
Serk and his buddy Gollum were 100% accurate in their tracking.
