Still available at Honda Direct Line.

https://www.hondadirectline.com/index.htm

Search under "Final Driven Gear"  Its item no. 2  The o-ring is sold separately its #33

I would get the new o-ring.  Then you don't need to over tighten it just snug and the o-ring keeps it from leaking.

Not sure what part you are displaying but my cap as you describe/picture looks totally different. Part #1 and #16.

As for the part you are displaying I've seen in other part fische seem to be the same as a GW.

Part #'s #10 & #9?

@ Chris :  Yes, I find it online.....but that means about two  2 weeks freight time ...
I believe same cap is used on more Honda bikes. If so, I have a hope to get it in a shop here in in a couple of days.  Wink

Yes, that part is called a valve tappets cover. It was used on older Honda's as a cover to an opening used for valve adjustments. That is an old part.  Maybe the VTX final drive uses the same one.

I cross referenced the part number, and the ones on 1500 wing finals are the same.
I got confused at first, I thought the fiche was misprinted or something, WTF valve
cover? Anywho... I've never mailed anything to Norway before, but I have one
if you can't get one...

I had a site for a kinda reverse look up of Honda parts numbers. Put the number in and it would tell you all the bikes it was used on. Unfortunately I lost it in a computer crash and haven't found it again, yet. It's out there somewhere.

 Smiley
I just got confirmed from a local  Honda bike shop this cap goes on more Honda bikes CB 750 and others' smaller, bigger ,older etc and they have a slightly different name from where they are placed ( They are not all on the final driven gear.)

1261-035-000 is the number for the Cap, tappet adjusting hole on my Valk.
Other numbers are

12361-300-000

12361371-980

O-RING # 91302-001-020 , diam 30,8 mm

I'll get it at my shop in 2-3 days.

Thanks, guys!

My wife’s 2005 VTX1300 uses the same cap. I’m pretty sure the VTX1800 also uses the same cap as many 1800 owners swap out their final drive for the 1300 final drive due to different (better) gear ratio.

I keep some spares just in case.

Good luck on the delivery...

same cap is used on cylinder head cover on the old Honda single camshaft models, CB 350, 500, 750
for valve inspection ! It is cheap and easy to get even here in europe!!
For part numbers you could check at cmsnl.com

Go to any vintage motorcycle swap meet (like Vintage Days) and you'll probably find a thousand or more of the things throughout. There are some manufacturers (e.g., Colony) who also used to make a chromed, finned version of same. As did Emgo, but in a brushed aluminum finish.

I'm pretty sure that is not a standard metric thread.  I believe it is pipe thread.  If all else fails check with your local bolt house to see if they have a hex pipe plug.  I used one on my Shadow for a while.

I don't know, I haven't checked it out. But that would be the first non metric item that I'm aware of Honda using.
This will likely get some heads spinning. But, quite some time back I did the same as the OP and cracked it by over tightening it. I got a rubber stopper from Ace Hardware and screwd it in tight. Rode it for a week and 600 miles while waiting for the replacement in the mail. Never leaked a drop.

Please don’t do this, these are straight threads with an o-ring, NOT tapered pipe threads.
