Wink Nice, you guys will have a blast. I'll have to see who wants to go from here, that is quite a journey. I've got time to decide.  coolsmiley

Might have to see what the weather is typically like in that time frame. Would agree on the trailer as I-40 would be boring and a witch with a capital B in certain parts getting there.

Wow....Taos sits at almost 7,000' elevation. Nice!
Weather would be amazing there during that time frame.

Three years in a row we vacationed in August out there in Angel Fire, about 30 miles east on 64, went with two other couples and trailered the Wings. One couple had a cabin at the 9800' level and you wore jackets when sitting outside by the fire in the evening. The cabin was used as a jumping off place for day rides out/back, some beautiful riding country, some mountains are high enough to make the old Valks wheez a bit at the top.  Wink At the Taos level, we were always comfy....again, it was August.

Been in that area a few times, Philmont scount camp is not too far from there.  Spent a week 3 different years there. Fantastic country.
