Nope, not today....I was out drinking with the pilot last night and HE doesn't trust ME!  Kudos to those guys, I watched from the ground one time while driving by. Not my cup of tea.  |

A couple of years ago, one of these line inspection crews had some issues with their chopper. They were in our hangar for a couple of days.
I tell you what...that whirlybird was in pretty rough shape. It was an old Hughes 500D. I looked at that bird, I looked at those guys, and told them they were freakin crazy.......

Won't speak for the guy on the platform but from the pilot's perspective, not a big deal. Focus on the task, it's more about control touch. As my first instructor pilot said, you don't move the controls, you think about moving them. Once you have that down flying RWs becomes second nature. Well, there may be a bit more to it than that but...........
Just don't try it with gusting winds.

Ok. I watched the guy on the helicopter put the ball on the wires. You bet. That takes balls. Then I watched the guys walking around on the electrical wires. Yep, that takes some balls too.
