Custom Paint Part Removal Issue
«
on:

Good morning,
I haven't been on in awhile and I am requesting some help.
I took my bike to get painted by a friend who does really good work, the issue is he could not get off the front plate where the key hole goes to release the seat. I believe he said there were 2 10mm bolts that he removed and it still didn't come off.
If anyone can help or point me the right direction, that would be great.
Thank you in advance.

The middle cover fits into a rubber grommeted slot at the bottom. You'll need to remove the key cylinder first which has a push/pull device holding it.

Also be very careful putting it back. Tight squeeze and you could scratch your new paint. Ask me how I know

You also need to unplug the tip sensor that is screwed onto the cover.
