The CTX1300 has the same size inverted forks as the Valkyrie. I do not know what the length is.  The steering stem size is different.
So a potential that the forks, wheel with larger rotors and three puck calipers, and fender can be fitted to the Valkyrie.

Three puck may be for integrated front and rear brakes. Valkyries are not set up for that.

correct, that's why I stated customize. There are mods out there for converting them to non-integrated, some riders just don't like them.

I like the integrated rear systems...a shame the VTX1800 caliper does not fit the std valkyrie..... as I would set that up if it did Smiley

The VTX 1800 cast aluminum lowers will screw onto the Valk sliders...
I'm doing that now.

Loved the linked system on my 1800 vtx.  Never touched the rear brake pedal.
Wish I had never sold that bike it was a great ride.

You state CTX. Do you mean VTX? The VTX 1800 forks are a little longer. The lowers are interchangeable. Then you need the fender, calipers and (as was said) the 3 pistons can be linked for a single use front brake.

Its the rear pedal that's linked isn't it? front is front only? well on the 2008 model I worked on I was pretty sure that was the case....was a while ago though

I have  RH lower....with a bent tube that I was going to pull, I would have to mod the guard mounts....but I never looked past the fact that the calipers were not a direct fit to the Valk but I need to find a LH lower....and SH parts are rare here and new they want $$$ for freight imported and daylight robbery through local dealers

its the other way around.
Front brake linked front an rear proportionally.  The rear pedal only operates the rear brake for low speed stability

Bikes may differ but on a VTX 1800 the rear brake pedal operates the rear brakes and the center pistons of the front calipers.  The brake lever on the handlebar operates the four outer front brake pistons and NOT the rear at all.

Yes to Chris.
The proportioning valve is about the size of a pack of cigarettes.
If anyone is interested in this, I can post some progress pics and a diagram in a couple days.

I moved the rear MC to under the right side cover, the proportioning valve goes where the MC was on a flat aluminum plate, and a VTX rear MC has to be modded a bit to replace the Valk MC.
