The old board was nice, but thats probably because everyone was used to it.  No one likes change, but once you adjust I'm sure you'll find this board to be every bit as nice, if not more so.  Plus, spam = failure.

Virtually every forum on the net now runs some version of this or other very similar board.  It is a tribute to the dedication of the staff that they put up with the problems the old, out dated board presented for as long as they did.

Besides, the software that run the board is not why we come to this site day after day.

to the old board

If you do not know how to do something or don't even know if it is available, ask a question here.......

You will get more help when you are trying, and very little help when ya is a bad mouthing this software..  Trust me, I been there and have the 'T' shirt also.    NO, it was not on this board, but it was a very simiilar one.   So, I got my stubborn streak in me revved up and learned how to use it.   I still only know about 35% if that much of it's capabilities.......... police

There is stuff here that you would never of dreamed of.

You can view the threads exactly like you used to on the old board.  I'm assuming you used the 2 column viewing,  Threads in one column and the actual thread in the other one......  New postings to the top of the list, so ya don't have to go through about 40 dozen of them to look for new ones....... tickedoff

How can I view posts in 2 columns like I did on the old board. If you mean by opening a post in another window,  I've done that here.
The 2 column set up with all threads on the left and the thread I was reading on the right. That is one feature of the old board I liked much better than this one.

Open IE and link up to this board.

Go to the General Board or Tech, makes no difference.

All the threads are listed in a row and some have NEW behind em.

RIGHT click the one you want to look at.
Click 'OPEN IN NEW WINDOW' on the drop down panel.

When done reading and or posting, click the little 'X' in the top right hand corner.

That sends you back to the list again,  Right click another one and repeat till you are all done or tired of reading.
