I have recently been exposed to the FX series "Sons of Anarchy."  The first thing that came into my head when I saw their bikes was:

A: Why are these guys all riding the same bike?

B: Why in the F**K would they make that bike a sort of ridiculous looking Super Glide.

C: They'd look better on Valkyries

Don't give them any ideas. They buy up a bunch of valks for the show.

The Sons of Anarchy are suposed to be a 1% club.  1% clubs (Pagans being the exception) almost exclusively ride Harleys.

I haven't seen a lot of the show.  I didn't watch much of the Mafia show when it was on either.  I really don't find the behavior depicted in those shows worthy of my attention.

Maybe I should watch the show, lots of people keep talking about it

Never seen it, or 24 or madmen or most other shows.

She who must be obeyed has 2 Fios DVR's so she can watch all her shows though.

In the evenings I prefer to read just about anything from the library, think about riding my valkyrie or buying it some safety chrome or when there is too much snow to ride, just sit on the Valkyrie in the garage and make vroom noises with the stereo on

What would be great is a NEW show with a band of Valk riders traveling the country in search of great small town diners.

Call it "The Sons of Cholesterol"

I will be the first to offer my services in this regard.

Maybe if SOA bought up a bunch of valks and had those beauties flashing across the screen instead of Harleys, they'd renew interest in them. Pretty soon everybody would want a valk and Honda would take notice as their new Fury-derived interstates sit in showrooms. Then they'd build a NEW valk! And then I would wake up and realize it was all a dream...

I watch it now and then. But I always seen them ride different bikes, not all the same. Like Willow stated, most, if not all 1%ers ride American made bikes. Says in their 'rules'. Which is 'mostly' HD and Victory. Honda is not recognised from what I remember.
Thors hammer hand off to MI there was a Outlaw that was intersted in our bikes. He asked me alot of questions about them and like them. He had some other Outlaws and a Mongol with him.
I have partied with alot and rode with a few 1%ers and none of them have ever given me crap about the Valk. Only time I was told by a Outlaw to get a HD was at a local watering hole when it almost 'game on' between us and them. Lips Sealed My step mom is a X-ol lady of a Outlaw. She liked the people and the good times but don't miss the abuse she watched.
I told Kit I was going to get her a belt that read 'Property of Fudgie'. That didn't go to well!  Grin

Ya know, if it's not on the speed channel, it's highly unlikely I've seen it.  That being said there is some trash on that channel too.  Ref: pimp my ride, or the other one with the fat Mexican guy, forgot it's name. Spare me, please!   Evil hoser

My son Nick and I were doing some touring across country in his jeep this past September, hit Niagara Falls and came back by way of South Dakota to check out Mt Rushmore and the Black Hills.

A great trip of camping and catching up with my son. Yet I digress...

While hiking around Bridal Veil Falls in The Black Hills area we ran across a small group of the SOA.

They asked if I could take a picture of them in front of the falls for them and I graciously did so. Seemed like a nice enough bunch during that brief meet.

I had only recently seen part of one of the episodes (I think it was a season finale) and was surprised to see that there was actually a click by that name.

Haven't seen it since but would probably watch it if I ran across it. Moderately entertaining!

Not sure if it is a actual club. Were they wearing vests with the patches on? Reason I say this is that up and down Main St of Sturgis this year there were SOA stuff for sale. They were really pushing it this year. It wasn't the usual 'support your local (insert club here)' stuff that all the other clubs try to sell.
I hear bridal veil falls is pretty neat. Always to many people for me to stop and look.

Was in a local leather shop the other day looking for a jacket.  They had some of those SOA t-shirts there for sale.

I can just see some wannbe buying and wearing one of those shirts out to some local biker hang-out and being confronted by the real thing and getting his ass kicked.

sounds like a "Dallas" show JR!

they don't use Valks 'cause everyone would be watching the show to see the cycles, not the actors!

The FX show has met mixed reviews on the Valk board over the years.

I do want to point out that Iron Horse magazine has a special edition celebrating the beginning of the fourth season of SoA. The show has hit a landmark that Bronson and Last Chapter did not hit. The Iron Horse special edition may not have been quite special. If you're interested check out the details. If not, ride safe.

My Blog on the SOA

I've pretty well learned that I'm just not in tune with the public at large. Probably why I ride a Valkyrie rather than some V-twin.
