The bike smells real gassy. I took it back to the dealer and they said it's because of aftermarket pipes. These look like the stock pipes. How can I tell the difference. I told them it smells like the carbs aren't synced correctly.

Most likely not the pipes. Could be you fuel cap or fuel rails leaking slightly. Have you had the bike for a while and did this just start happening?

I just bought the bike. The dealer at mountain motorsports told me it has aftermarket pipes. The pipes look like the original I seen on eBay. How do I put a pic on here. I can put the bike on here

You need a pic hosting site. I use postimage.org.

Take a ride out to Moreno Valley and I'll take a look at it for you. Shoot me a email if you interested. I no longer work on bikes but I might steer you in the right direction.

From what I can see, they look like stock pipes with an 18" truck stack. Like Dave said, it likely your pipes have nothing to do with with the issue.

Take a piece of plastic food wrap, like Saran. Double it up and place it between your fuel cap and the tank then close and latch it. This should provide enough seal to stop the Vapors if they are coming from the cap. You cannot get the O-Ring for the cap any longer but there are work arounds..

This smell is how I discovered my petcock issue.  Do you turn off your fuel when you turn off the bike?
Also maybe I missed this do you smell it while riding or while it's parked in your garage?

Check for fuel leaking from the petcock or even vacuum lines could be a lose clamp.  This or it may be running very rich or even not firing on on cylinder and you are passing the unburned fuel through the exhaust hence the dealer blaming the pipes!
