I know I have asked about these in the past I would really like to add something but not willing to spend over $1000 for a stock trunk that still needs to be painted! I'm hoping someone might have used the one in this link I reached out to the company but they don't have any pictures of it on a Valkyrie. I really don't want to add something that will look like crap! https://nastyhog.com/collections/tour-packs/products/ltp-legacy-tour-pack

Looks like a very wide trunk at 24". Almost guaranteed to interfere with opening stock Tourer type saddlebags. If you have the IS type bags, it would work better. Not a bad looking trunk, I like that it holds two helmets. The price is good also.

I went to a auto advertising shop that did wrap, and they gave me some scraps, so I could cover the red colour on my black/red trunk, making it full red. Today, I would just buy some spray plastic wrap. Do a bad job? peel it off and try it again. Don't like the colour or ready to sell the trunk, again, peel it off to stock.

I an to paint my bags over the winter so paint isn't a major concern however the prices people are asking for an IS truck is crazy! I have seen entire bikes sells for about 2k more maybe I should just buy another bike?

It is strange how the prices on bags and trunks are stable or going up, but the prices on an entire bike are going down.

I like that it opens toward the rear, too. The ones that open forward often require your passenger to get off, or at least move very uncomfotably forward to allow it to open.

Have a look at the leather HD ones. They are well made, look good and easy to mount up to our Valk luggage racks Regards Lyle https://www.harley-davidson.com/store/smooth-tour-pak-luggage

I've recommended that before, for those who want the added storage of an IS, should just sell their current bike and buy one (or buy an IS 1st, then sell your's, you then know how much you want for it. I bought my current IS for 5K, so I sold my previous one for $5 quickly). Most tho are attached to their current bike and don't wish to see it sold for one of any of a multiple # of reasons.

I have looked at the leather bags but I don't really like the look. As for selling my bike not really an option being it was a gift I don't feel right selling it!

Look at some other trunks. Yamaha, Harley, etc. A buddy got a Yamaha RoyalStar trunk for a good price. Might have to make up some mounts, but it shouldn't be too hard.

I have the GIVI V46 trunk and it looks great on my standard..what really sets it off is the dark blue panel (that you used to be to buy but now you will have to paint your own) that matches my 2002 blue w/white stripe Standard ..the stock rack on the back of the bike has hollow tubes that fatigued at the mounting points :'(and snapped off )..on E Bay the now sell full metal racks...it is great for my errand running ..for my annual trip or two canoe bags are waterproof and some of those aftermarket nylon/leather saddlebags work fine..

I am planning on mounting a Harley trunk on my '97 Tourer. What is a good way to mount it? Is there a reasonable mounting bracket I can buy? I would love to make it a quick detachment.
