I've searched the archives and read some of the current clutch related posts and didn't find what I am wondering about.  Is there any way to reduce the effort needed to depress the clutch lever?  I'm a big ol boy but a long red light will get you to thinking about a shift to neutral.  TIA.  Lots of stuff to learn about this bike yet. bill

Some of the people have installed Goldwing levers with a slight modification.
It's possible a previous owner installed heavier clutch springs.

Just did a search and for the search I used   "Goldwing lever"  and set the search for "All" words.  Lots of info on lever change.
There isn't an adjustment for the lever tension.

Get the goldwing polished adj levers.  They are wider, and the pull seems to be 1/2 or less of oem levers. I have had a couple valk riders ride my bike, and they could not believe how easy the levers were to pull.  Plus they look great!  You do need to grind off one small tab on the clutch lever.  No big deal, and unnoticeable.

I bought my Valk new. However, I did contemplate doubling up the clutch spring when I rebuilt my clutch, but decided "no". I have pretty powerful hands & fingers and my hand grows tired too at long reds on the OEM spring setup as it is. I'm one of those riders that goes into neutral just as I roll to what I know will be a long red. It's not the safest method and does delay the ability to get out of the way if necessary.

I also have the adjustable GW levers and find no relief in lever tension, only a better fit to my reach.

Thanks for the replies.  I guess I'll get one of those little rubber balls and start squeezing it to build up the hand. laugh   The PO already replaced the levers with wide ones. bill

Just a small point. You said the PO had installed wide levers, but you didn't say if they were Goldwing adjustable levers.
The adjustable ones are also a bit longer and for me at least I found the touch of extra length gives more leverage and allows for an easier pull. Some people don't notice a difference, but my guess is that their grip doesn't change with the new levers. I found my grip slid outwards a bit, hence the improvement. If you get the chance check out someone elses Valk with the adjustable levers, you might be surprised!  Cool
