Ok so one Saturday was going to take a ride got the bike out all was going well till I smelled what best can be described as someone is putting manure on their lawn. So I looked around and walked away from the bike and wondered, since I could not find the source. The smell didn't entirely go away over the next couple of weeks and off and on I would get a whiff of it. But I went for a few rides and all was ok. Well one day I couldn't take it any longer and started to try to find the source of the smell. Well lo and behold in the bottom of my saddle bag under some paper and rags was a turd. So cleaned up the area since it was not bad threw out the rag and anything that touched it and let the bag air out but the smell again never went entirely away.
Yup, I have a Yorkie a good dog and he regularly rides with me in the saddle bag. So one day had to bring him home from work and put him in the bag and when we got home he immediately did his business. It was a bit unusual but I didn't think to much of it till the day I found that present. How could you have done that to me.
Today was the day to address the smell, since it was not going away. Took out all the things that were in the bag and put some Hydrogen peroxide 20 percent in the bag and let it sit a bit. Then scrubbed the inside a bit and put some car wash soap and filled the bag to the top with water. Scrubbed it a bit more and then rinsed. Took a wet vac sucked out all the water and leaf blower to blow the rest out and dry it a bit and all the smell is gone.
What I learned, the Corbin bags hold water. Take your dog for a walk before you put him in the bag and always check if you smell something.
Bag actually cleaned perfectly, dried quickly and looks better, I guess it needed it for more than one reason.

This is the offender with my old bike in the background while we were out at lunch grabbing a hamburger.

How could you be mad at this face?
He loves to go places and travel and doesn't understand being left home. When I have to get a pallet cart at Home Depot he will get in the front of it and look like the Mac emblem on the front of a Mack truck and never move off the pallet cart. A great dog and at 15 years he is starting to show his age.
