Yesterday I picked up my new 2014 Valk, had a 250 mile ride and I tried to take it slow but it was hard lol, I avg around 65 to 85 mph and I did bum it up to 106 mph just once, the 2 things I notice was first the stock seat has to go.
Number 2 is the stock mirrors just plain suck.  they need longer stems on them so that I can see behind me.  I will try and adjust them today and see if that helps.

Also I need to find a windshield any suggestions would be great.

My short review was it is very smooth running, you don't feel anything in the handlebars or foot pegs also the head light is very good and really lights up the back roads at night.  So far so good, I will be just riding it around town for the next 1500 miles to get it broken in, I hope I didn't hurt it riding it back form Alabama.

And I almost forgot, on both of my 97 valk's im kind of on the balls of my feet when I come to a stop light, on the 2014 I'm flat footed at a stop light, that was a nice surprise.

I will keep you posted and I now have tow 97's and one 2014 Valkyries and one 95 Magna, the Magna is my girl friends... well that is what I tell people when they say I have 4 Honda's lol

I just tell them I'm a Honda guy...

You are correct on seat ! Rode mine 1.5 hours to get it home and I was sitting on the frame ,went Corbin gunfighter & love it! The mirrors are great once adjusted only wish they were matt black as I hate chrome ! ......

If you want black mirrors, look for a set off a Victory.  Good quality and the mirror arms put them out farther.  That is what I did.

Here is a set, but they want quite a bit for them.  I only paid $40 for mine.

I have the Honda tall windshield and love it. Very well built but there are many options out there.

I have stock mirrors and they seem ok when properly adjusted.  I can see most of what is behind me, except maybe what is directly behind me, unless I move my head.  This helps with cars and their bright lights at times.

Never rode on a stocker seat, as mine had a Corbin when i got it.  I do have the stocker as a back up tho.

I have a Gustafason shield, with a flip lip to deflect the wind and that works petty good.

The first thing I did to mine is add a windshield.
I am 5'10"s tall and ordered mine in a 17x22 which is just perfect for getting the wind over my helmet.
No extra charge for the 17"

I really like that, and the angle looks like it lines up with the forks.

+1 on the Gustafssons, they are well made and look very nice on the bike.  I have a 10" for my 5'8" short-torso body, the wind hits the very top of my shoulders which is exactly where I want it to on anything less then cold days.

You won't have a problem with the bike in terms of the distance ride home, I did exactly the same when I purchased mine.  Just make sure you change the oil a bit earlier than recommended, I think they say 1200 miles for first change and I did mine at 500-600 IIRC.  I'm at a (low) 25,000 now (miserable weather and just too many other things going on this year) and it runs like a top, not 1 drop of oil ever burned or lost.

Funny story about that....When I first got my shield, I spent hours trying to get the angle to follow the forks per their instructions. After several talks on the phone I convinced them that their was only one way to mount it to get it to follow the line of the forks and offer the best air flow. Not the way they instructed.

So after much debate they decided to change their video mounting instructions and the NEW correct video is the one you see now. So no worries if you get this shield.

I wnat to mount the shield on the inside  of the bars  , I wnat the shield closer to me  creating a  calm pocket  , or bringing the  calm pocket of air closer too me .

Why do they not do that ?

They do now show it mounted to the (inside) of the bars.
This will allow you to bring the shield as far back as the meter/speedo allows.
