It is with a very heavy heart that I post the loss of a very dear friend and great person. Our brother Elton Marks passed away this afternoon after a 22 month battle with brain cancer. He was a great friend and an even better riding buddy. We had shared a lane for many years and countless miles. Two trips to Prudhoe Bay, Key West, countless local trips and many miles in Brasil. His wonderful wife took such good care of him both in health and sickness. I just saw him this morning. He rode a BMW but always welcomed by Valkyrie riders. Thank you for that.
RIP my brother.

Very sad to hear about Elton. He was a great guy and road many miles with the Valkyrie club. He first rode with us on a ride to Death Valley many years ago with Dolor and Angela. He loved his BMW's and as much as we tried we couldn't get him on a Valk. He will be missed.

Dear SoCal Riders:
We lost a very nice friend, like a brother to me and Ângela!
I appreciate the nice words from everyone and I’m glad to know my brother Mike Hahn was the last one to see Elton and put in his heart our love.
He left in peace!
Our love to each one!

Elton's services were Sat. 10/20, in Grand Terrace, CA.  Only had the pleasure of a couple rides with him. Loved the joy he alway exuded when he was on 2 wheels.

Here is a link to the video of his service.

Just in case you're interested. Elton's ashes went home to his parents in Brasil this month. His parents had a memorial service there for him. They were not able to travel here in October for the service in California. They were here for Elton's birthday at the end of August. Wonderful people and very appreciative for their time with him then. Elton was very happy to see his parents for the last time so they all could say goodbye. He was their only child.

I'm very blessed to have known Elton and to spend as much time with him over the years. Countless wonderful memories and countless miles sharing a lane together. Freezing our butts off and sweating our butts off and everything in-between. Flat tires, no hotel rooms, cold wet rain, lost M/C keys (Elton's).
Laughing our butts off too!
 R.I.P. Brother!
