That's a very cool pic! I've never ridden with both hands off the handlebars. I assume Joe used a throttle lock, otherwise how do you do it? Doesn't the bike slow down too quickly without the lock? Just wonderin'.

Without a doubt Tony, I'd venture a bet they both had the throttle-loc on their bikes. That contraption kept the throttle in one position, so going up a hill you could be doing 70mph, and on the downhill side doing 110mph.

Don't worry YB, Tony knows about going 110 MPH, he knows.

Sometimes you only get 2.7 seconds, make it count.

That ride was fun and obviously memorable since you mention it occasionally. I don't think I've ridden that fast since then. Got close to about 95 catching up with Brett, Orca and others on 495 S coming back from Laconia this year. I had gotten jammed up in traffic, finally broke free and wanted to catch-up. The new bike is electronically limited to 112. Guess that will have to do.

We had our throttle locks set to 90 for a LONG TIME
We pretty much rode across the entire State of Nevada with no hands, writing post cards and grabbing gallon jugs of water out of our saddlebags. It was HOT HOT HOT
