I've had my 99 Interstate for a year and a half. Absolutely love it. It looks and drives amazing. Did 1,500 miles riding VA/NC/TN mountain roads this fall and enjoyed every minute of it.

I've done a few small mods and additions to include floorboards, adding an amplifier, upgraded the 4 speakers, accessory mounts for GPS, iPhone and a GoPro, paint matched and added a GL1800 Trunk Spoiler, and a Back-Off modulator for more visibility in the rear. Just recently bought a Tourer brake light and will be added that as well for better visibility at the rear.

The only issue I have with this amazing machine is the need I feel to add more lights up front for those early morning or late night rides.

I don't have the pod lights and I know they are impossible to find, so I am looking for a good alternative.

Asking the group for some ideas on driving lights that work well, look good, and don't break the bank. ( $200 price range )

What type of floor boards did you put on it, and what amp did you get?

I went with Kuryakyn floorboards.

Bought a set of their splined adapters, had them cut and welded to a second set of Honda Valkyrie OEM footpeg adapters plates I bought off of ebay for $29.   The footpegs have several mounting points which all ow you to raise/lower and move em front or back. Well worth the effort.

The amplifier I went with was a Clarion Class D Amplifier. I'm very happy with it and it adds ALOT of volume to the radio. When I plug in my iPhone and play music thru the 'Aux' input, it is even louder. I can hear it well at highway speeds with the volume set at '17'

Mine are chromed 10w mounted on engine guard with revised 1 1/8 Kury bar clamps in conjunction with a Silverstar HL bulb present a very visible light pattern.

Amp is mounted on a piece of flat aluminum mounted inside the fairing. That's the only place it will fit.
Added the polk 501 speakers (all four) and it sounds pretty good to me.
