I was putting a coat of wax on today and noticed a
flat spot on one of the throttle cables where it goes in behind the headlight.
It wasn't worn completely through
yet but enough to grab my attention.
Turn your bars right to full stop and check cable where it comes out behind headlight cover.
If you look inside you'll see a heavy wire bracket that the throttle cables pass through, it's one piece bent in a loop and guides the cables. I felt around inside with my finger and found the problem.
The end of the heavy wire bracket was rubbing the cable at full right turn.
I glued (epoxy) a piece of plastic tubing I had laying around over the sharp end of bracket and up about a 1/2in and hanging over about a 1/2in..
No more sharp edge.
I'm glad I noticed this before it wore through.
Guess it pays to give her a good cleaning once in a while.
