Well, I found this new bike in red for $40,253 Canadian, taxes in, no options, in Manitoba.  A little rich for my blood.

Cruiserman's Garage does a YouTube video on the pros and cons of the new Goldwing.  A lot of little things they should have addressed.

He also makes a ridiculously big deal about stupid things that aren’t a big deal.  It’s a great bike. If you let the stock GPS totally consume your life and ruin your opinion of the bike, I pity you. I’ve never used the stock GPS on mine. Couldn’t care less if it isn’t perfect. For the love of God, just ride.

Sorry...I’ve seen a lot of his videos and they kinda annoy me.  Grin

I rode one and LOVED it. In Tour mode I could beat about anything off the line and the handling is awesome. I just don't ride enough to buy one

Well I guess you didn't test ride the new R 1250 RT  Grin

Please, ask your local dealer for a test ride. If after the ride you still think that the new GW is far ahead  2funny, I'll buy you a beer  Wink

BTW, the new R 1250 RT stock (no keyless, radio, SOS etc.) is more than 1/3 "cheaper" than the new GW.  Grin

The problem with the "cheaper" BMW is that according to the warranty auditors is that the BMWs are less reliable overall than any make sold in this country. It is due mostly to electrical issues. Even HDs have fewer warranty issues per 1000 than BMW. Honda still has an acceptable "customer satisfaction" rating, which in my opinion is a great measure of my overall willingness to purchase "an inanimate object of desire". And in my opinion,....neither (R1250 or 1800 Valk) is visually attractive.
