Where'd old times go?

Frisco, TX

« on: April 13, 2008, 07:44:01 AM »

"I"nteresting and "E"ucational!  Really enjoyed meeting and seeing everybody yesterday.  Besides the comradery, learned just enough about adding a headlight relay circuit to my Valk to be dangerous.  Dave's turned out great in spite of 3 to 4 extra sets of hands.  Hope to be as lucky with mine.

We started so many conversations. Just to finish one, Tom - Kershaw Knives http://www.kershawknives.com/products.php?brand=kershaw has THE finest customer service I have ever experienced on any product, any time, any place. Truly old time service. You have a choice on getting your lock mechanism replaced. You can send the knife in and they will do the work AND restore the edge to factory spec, or you can give them the model number and they will send you the parts - everything except a new blade.

I see a nice National Cycle light bar (take off from Dave's bike) in someone's future. Great group of folks! Sure enjoyed the day.

Thanks for hosting, SideCar!

Great having everyone over and getting some things done on the bikes. Good conversation. A little productive work. Beautiful weather. Great day!

Dittos from Dave.  Great fun just hanging out with great guys, girls, and kids.  Meeting new kindred spirits and working on the bikes were icing on the cake.  Thanks to all for hosting, helping, teaching, and doing.

I think my starter switch is feeling better, but it's still not quite right.  I'm going to service it soon as I continue working down the to-do list.  The PIAA gets a big thumbs up.  More light on low-beam than I had with the original headling + light bar.  High-beam?  Wow, and I went with the extreme white.  The intense white is supposed to be even brighter.

Tom, we're practically neighbors.  Lunch?

Anybody need a light bar???
