I agree! I would have it in my garage now if I hadn't scored the deal I did on the black & champagne 2001 Interstate I bought a couple months ago. This one even has the factory fog lights in the pods!!

Well, $3500 for the bike and another $1500 or more to get it repainted. Why would anyone find that bright red an attractive color for that bike....or any bike. If I wasn't trying to hang on to some reserve $$ I'd offer something under the asking price, then go about getting it sprayed. Maybe even do it myself by turning the garage into a paint booth.

Well, I don't have the money (or the urge) to buy it, but I will have to agree with John on the paint. Red is OK, but that shade is fugly, and 2-tone looks better anyway.

If it was local I would go take a look at it! I don't mind the Color I am currently looking into adding a trunk to my Tourer and this looks like it will cost around $1000 and then I have to find hinges for my saddle bags. By the time I'm done with paint it would cheaper for me to sell my bike and replace it with this one. My current bike only has 4000 miles it runs like new so it would be a factor for me but I really would prefer an IS but I got mine for free so who am I to complain!

If you were local, you could take the parts you need and sell the rest and come out with a free trunk, that is after spending the time to sell, pack and ship all the parts

Yes, but not nearly as much red paint on Jack Attack's red machine. Other attributes cancel out that shade of red.
